Description

MindMeld is a new application for any apple product that allows users to communicate with others around the world, while also listening and pulling up relevant information based on your discussions.

At only $3.99 in the Apple App Store, Mindmeld actively listens to the last 10 minutes of the conversation and follows conversational signals about the users. When someone on the call wants to get information about something that was just discussed, MindMeld has already done that. It automatically pulls up relevant content, such as websites and pictures, pertaining to what was just mentioned. These findings can then be shared on social media, and are also saved to a cloud for access at any time. At the end of the call, MindMeld gives a summary of the key concepts during the call.

According to Expert Labs CEO Tim Tuttle, "MindMeld is at the forefront of the kind of technology that will surround us everywhere in a few years and that will be always on and constantly paying attention in order to serve up information when we want it, or possibly even before we know we want it."

Applications

MindMeld recognizes when someone is having a voice conversation and begins to search for topics and other helpful tips about the conversation. It employs voice recognition software and the company's own search system algorithm in order to provide options and ideas for what the user is discussing. Users of MindMeld must be logged on to a social network in order for the app to work at its fullest potential, as it searches through social media in order to find information specifically tailored to the user. For instance, if two people were talking about going to a restaurant in a new city, MindMeld would comb through the restaurants in the city and pull up reviews, locations, and reservation options. If MindMeld notices that a user has previously checked into a sushi restaurant multiple times on Facebook, its top results will likely be sushi restaurants in the new city the user is visiting. If the user visits the city again and cannot remember the restaurant he/she dined at, MindMeld automatically compiles search results in a cloud for future reference. The more MindMeld is used, the smarter and more relevant it becomes with its results, much like Siri in learning your voice and speech patterns.

Technology like MindMeld takes current international communication apps such as Skype, WhatsApp, and Line to the next level by adding the tailored search results component. This takes out the frustration of trying to find information, allowing for the conversation to continue to flow. MindMeld even goes a step further by offering a MindMeld API. This allows for developers to incorporate MindMeld into their app or website, also giving them the capabilities of "contextually-driven search results" as opposed to search queries typed by the user. Developer plans for using MindMeld API range from free to $1999 per month depending on the size and requirements of your app or website. Overall, MindMeld strives to incorporate its technology across all platforms, as it sees that this predictive and automatic information retrieval is the way of the future.
